INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
FOR HUNTER CEILING FANS TYPE 3
TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

SOLUTION |
1. Nothing happens; fan does not move.*
*NOTE: If blades will not turn
by hand, contact your nearest service representative. |
- Power turned off or fuse blown.
- Loose wire connections or wrong
connections.
- Weak battery in transmitter.
- Transmitter too
far from fan.
- Transmiter/Receiver switches in wrong position.

- Turn power on or replace fuse.
- Loosen canopy. Check all connections.
(Turn power off while checking.)
- Install new 9V battery.
- Maximum range is 15-30 feet.
- Set switches to matching positions.

| 2. Noisy operation. |
- Blade irons loosely screwed to motor.
- Blade screwed loosely
to blade iron.
- Blade cracked.
- Light globe noisy.
|
- Tighten screws until snug.
- Tighten screws.
- Replace blades.
- Adjust globe.
|
3. Excessive wobbling.
|
- Unbalanced blades.
- Fan too close to vaulted ceiling.
- Loose
blades or blade brackets.
- Fan not secure on hanger assembly.

- Use blade balancing kit. (See Step 8D.)
- Lower or move fan.
- Tighten all screws.
- Turn power off. Support fan very carefully.
Loosen canopy and hang correctly.

When
switching from medium to low speed, you may notice some fan wobble.
When fan speed stabilizes at low speed, wobble will disappear. If you
