Types of Hunter Fan Motors

The motor is the heart of any ceiling fan. Many fan manufacturers buy generic “off-the-shelf” motors to power their fans. Hunter® creates their own motors, and designs and builds them specifically for ceiling fan use. Hunter ceiling fans ® can come with three different motors, all with Hunters® quality workmanship.

Air Max

With a design so unique it’s patented, the AirMax® is built of the finest materials, including:

• A Die-Cast Aluminum Housing
• Factory-Sealed Precision Bearings
• Heavy-Gauge Copper Windings
• Silicon Steel Laminates

The AirMax® motor also includes our exclusive internal impeller. The impeller is a fan-within-a-fan that cools the motor whenever the fan is running.

High Performance

With the same high performance and outstanding quality this motor is built to last. Quiet but powerful it will provide years of hassle free running.

Standard

Designed for superior performance and crafted with the finest materials, the Hunter® High Output motor delivers a lifetime of whisper-quiet, powerful air movement. This motor is slightly larger than the High Performance.
