What does "renewed" mean?

What does it mean when it says renewed Hunter air purifier unit? Simple: we sell “factory renewed” air cleaners– essentially BRAND NEW air cleaners which were returned to the factory, then sent back through quality control to make sure the air cleaner is in perfect working order.

What’s the difference?
What does “factory renewed” really mean? Occasionally an air cleaner is returned to the factory when a part is missing, or the box has been damaged in transport. For example, a filter might be missing or a unit might have been slightly blemished due to the packaging being damaged. After the wrong or missing part is replaced, the entire air cleaner is completely inspected and repackaged for sale.

Testing procedure for new Hunter Air Purifiers®:
For every thousand air purifiers that Hunter makes, about 50 are factory tested.

Testing procedure for “factory renewed” Hunter Air Purifiers®:
All air purifiers are fully factory tested.

What about the warranty?
Renewed Hunter air purifiers ® are essentially BRAND NEW, and have the same WARRANTY as all other Hunter air purifiers ®.

All Hunter air purifiers are backed by a limited 5-year warranty.

Some units might be slightly blemished,this will not effect their performance.
